Meet Pieter Fourie
I’m a qualified mechanical engineer based in Heidelberg, Western Cape, South Africa, with a career spanning an Antarctic supply vessel, steel mills, fruit packhouses, boiler installations, and four decades of industrial maintenance. Today I work independently as a technical consultant, self-managing a Proxmox + ISPConfig server stack hosting around 33 domains, and running a network of specialist businesses covering infrastructure, fabrication, drones, and agricultural technology across South Africa and the USA.
My workshop runs a CNC 3018, a Creality Falcon Pro 10W diode laser, a 3D printer, and an 870mm vinyl cutter — direct fabrication capability alongside the server and engineering work. No agency overhead, no junior staff escalation — you deal with the engineer doing the work.
