Speaking of very large TV sets, Samsung has also delivered on a promise made at CES 2013, releasing a 110-inch UHD TV on the market just before the close of the year.
Don’t get too excited though, the 2.6 x 1.8 meter television is only available in China, the Middle East and a few unspecified European countries for the moment and it’s not going to be found in stores there either. The 110-inch 4K TV will only be available for custom order, with the set starting at $142,000 (R1.5 million). And it only gets more expensive from there.
So, unless you have a bank balance that is threatening to burst a vault, chances are that this UHD monster is going to be out of reach for a while. Never mind though, scaling it down a few inches results in UHD tech from the company becoming a little more affordable.
